About
I just like understanding how things work.
- Started programming to get better at video games. Hosted game servers for friends, built tools for a pediatric office, optimized everything I could get my hands on.
- Studied abroad in Costa Rica, funded partly by automation freelancing. Got an economics degree that made more sense after watching in-game economies crash from duplication bugs.
- 10 years as a data engineer. Built a SharePoint-backed platform that processed a billion records a year for a DoD client. In JavaScript. Because Python wasn't an option.
- Published first-author research on de-identifying data using GANs (MODSIM World 2020).
- Deep into Home Assistant — 200+ devices, self-hosted everything, and the kind of house where the automation never feels finished.
- Currently pursuing MS in Computer Science at ODU. Research: what happens when humans have to oversee AI agents under real pressure.
- Built a multi-agent system with 28 AI operators that I now study for alignment data.
- Competitive Melee and Valorant. Probably explains more of my brain than any credential.
- Grew a floating watermelon garden with my wife and an AI. Have the most enriched indoor cat in Virginia.
